Job Description

As a Mechanic at Boskalis, you will be part of the Technical Department and work at our Service Center in Capelle aan den IJssel. You will also occasionally work at various project locations in the Netherlands. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that Boskalis' machinery and equipment function properly.

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our rolling stock, which includes trucks, cranes, pumps, generator sets, compressors, hydraulic sets, and grabs. A broad experience is a plus, but you must be willing to expand your knowledge.

Together with your colleagues from the Service Center, you will solve acute technical problems and contribute to the optimal deployment of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair rolling stock, including trucks, cranes, pumps, and other equipment.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to solve technical problems.
  • Contribute to the optimal deployment of our equipment.

Requirements:

  • MBO level of education and thinking, preferably in mechanical engineering or automotive technology, or comparable knowledge gained through work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle technology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of applicable labor and safety regulations.
  • Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and willing to take courses if necessary.
