Climate Adaptation Program Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Climate Adaptation Program Officer to join our team in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. As a key member of our Youth Leadership and Education program, you will play a critical role in empowering young people to become leaders in climate adaptation globally.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement compelling advocacy resources to raise awareness about climate change and its impact on youth.
- Coordinate and manage global youth networks, increasing member capacity and ensuring effective information sharing, communication, engagement, and participation in key events and activities.
- Conceptualize, organize, and execute in-person, hybrid, and virtual events to promote youth voices and actions on climate change.
- Coordinate education and training programs to equip young people with the skills and knowledge needed to address climate change.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to amplify young people's voices at international conferences, policy dialogues, and advocacy campaigns.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Education, Project Management, Climate Change, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in areas such as climate adaptation, youth engagement in climate-related policy, or education and community-building at local and national levels.
- Solid understanding of climate change concepts, frameworks, and international agreements.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills.
- Effective planning and organizational skills, with focus on time management and prioritization.
