Parts Sales Engineer Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Parts Sales Engineer Services to join our team at Damen Shipyards. As a key member of our regional team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and driving sales growth in the Americas region.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the needs of our customers in the field of spare parts, logistics, and common activities. You will work closely with our account manager and sales manager to approach customers in your region and ensure the successful sale of spare parts. Your key accountabilities will include:
- Active approach towards (potential) clients and informing them about the possibility of delivery of specific components;
- Proactive sales of spare parts within your region;
- Coordinating the logistics and ordering materials for successful sales;
- Maintaining contact with clients and suppliers about delivery times and prices;
- Performing additional administrative work, such as building a dossier for each project;
- Cooperating with colleagues to strive for a better result every day;
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A completed vocational or Bachelor's degree in a technical or commercial direction;
- Between 3 and 5 years' experience in a technical sales role, preferably within a Service Department;
- Strong communication skills in English (near native); speaking Spanish or Portuguese is an advantage;
- Result-oriented, with initiative and management skills;
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders;
- A pragmatic and persuasive approach, with a solid personality fitting within a dynamic organization with a hands-on culture;
- Decisive and flexible, with a methodical approach;
- Able to influence, put things into perspective, and have the patience needed to achieve results;
- Well able to manage expectations.
