Position Overview

The role involves the design and development of advanced mechatronic systems, focusing on control, sensing, and actuation mechanisms for autonomous robotic arms (ARMs). The engineer will collaborate on the integration of these systems within the broader robotic framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and create mechatronic solutions, including control and sensing systems for ARMs.
  • Assist in the seamless integration of mechatronic systems into the overall robotic architecture.
  • Develop algorithms to manage the motion and behavior of ARMs effectively.

Performance validation and reliability assurance will be crucial, achieved through:

  • Conducting comprehensive tests and simulations to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest trends and advancements in mechatronics technology.
  • Streamlining processes to accommodate increased production volumes while maintaining compatibility and interchangeability.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechatronic engineering or a related field, ideally within the autonomous mobile robotics sector.
  • Proficient knowledge of control systems, robotics, and mechatronics.
  • Experience with sensors, actuators, and various mechatronic components.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, and MATLAB.
  • Strong communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with SolidWorks and its PDM/PLM systems.
  • Understanding of EPlan software.
  • Design experience specifically related to Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).
  • Experience utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools for design verification.
