Job Summary:
Damen Shipyards is seeking an experienced Senior Shipbuilding Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Shipbuilding Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all shipbuilding constructions and systems meet industry standards and regulations while being seamlessly integrated into the overall design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement shipbuilding designs and engineering solutions that meet industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that shipbuilding constructions and systems are integrated into the overall design.
- Monitor work progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Coordinate work with the Engineering Project Manager to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards.
- Ensure the quality of engineering work within one or more projects at a technical level.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in shipbuilding design and engineering in the maritime sector.
- Strong knowledge of shipbuilding construction and systems used in the vessels.
- Organizational and project management skills (aimed at Engineering).
- Experience with marine industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in Shipbuilding Engineering or related fields.
