Job Summary

As a Field Service Technician at Kardex, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technical products and systems at customer field locations. Your primary focus will be on installing, configuring, calibrating, and repairing technical products and equipment, as well as providing exceptional customer support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and technical support on installed products and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, using your technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Determine when products require upgrade or replacement, ensuring seamless continuity of service.
  • Provide onsite training to customer support personnel, enhancing their knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Good general standard of education, with a focus on technical or scientific disciplines.
  • Relevant degree or training in mechanics, electronics, or electrical engineering.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in field customer service, with a strong focus on technical support.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic methods and tools, as well as basic computer skills.
  • Technical, mechanical, or electronic experience, with a strong understanding of mechatronic machines and software systems.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols, such as Fieldbus and Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of onsite health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and adaptability.
  • Fluency in English, with a minimum CEFR Level B1 (intermediate), and senior Level B2 (upper intermediate). German or other languages are valued, and local language proficiency is essential.
  • Valid car license and willingness to travel.
