About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing the entire lifecycle of projects, including new builds, conversions, and modifications of vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects of medium to high complexity from initiation to completion, securing required resources and ensuring timely completion according to specification and within budgeted costs;
  • Set up and execute projects, taking responsibility for the execution of engineering, on-board projects, and/or conversions if applicable;
  • Take care of the set-up, interfacing, testing, operation, repair, and maintenance of vessels, the compilation of engineering/survey reports, and the appropriate Quality Control of data and reports;
  • Communicate with stakeholders on new building and/or modification requirements to establish a clear project scope;
  • Lead small teams and give guidance to more junior colleagues;
  • Carry out administrative duties and ensure accurate and complete financial and project administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Ship Building or Mechanical Engineering;
  • 3+ years working experience and previous management experience;
  • Strong client awareness, ability to build strong relationships, and experience supporting both internal and external clients;
  • Possession of a passion for success, striving for operational excellence, and actively focusing on achieving sustainable results;
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative, acting with confidence, and making prompt and clear decisions, which may involve tough choices or considered risk;
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (verbal and written).
