Sustainability Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Project Manager to join our team at G-Star RAW. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce the environmental impact of our operations.

About the Role

The Sustainability Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to reduce energy use, water consumption, waste management, biodiversity, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest developments in environmental sustainability and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Developing scalable environmental improvement projects for our supply chain, managing their implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of ZDHC, Fashion Charter, and Cascale standards and programs across the supply chain.
  • Managing compliance with membership requirements, overseeing implementation and devising strategies to improve status.
  • Coordinating internal teams to ensure alignment with various standards and integrate sustainable practices into daily operations.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
  • Developing and delivering training programs to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among employees and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Masters's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental management, preferably within the apparel industry.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
