YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Microbiology division, comprising 45 dedicated professionals, is responsible for processing daily samples while upholding rigorous quality standards. As a Microbiology Laboratory Specialist, your key duties will include:

Conducting microbiological analyses independently in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Managing laboratory tasks, including the execution and processing of control samples, maintaining essential checklists, and promptly reporting any discrepancies to the Supervisor; Inputting data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS);
Ensuring proper handling and maintenance of laboratory equipment as per current guidelines; Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and preventing contamination, while adhering to the Environmental Sampling Plan (ESP); Familiarizing yourself with relevant Mérieux SOPs and the quality manual in compliance with ISO 17025, and diligently applying these standards; Alerting the Supervisor to any deviations and documenting them through the improvement cycle system; Serving as a trainer for specific laboratory activities and actively participating in improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes;

The work schedule is structured as follows: - Two consecutive weeks from Monday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a third week from Tuesday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

You will be engaged on a temporary contract for a duration of 12 months, with the potential for conversion to a permanent position upon successful completion of the contract.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates who:

Hold at least an MLO3 qualification; Possess several years of experience in a Microbiology laboratory setting; Thrive in a team-oriented environment and can adapt to evolving circumstances;

A full-time commitment of 40 hours per week

27 vacation days annually for full-time employees
A fixed travel allowance of up to €140 net per month for full-time roles
