About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Author to join our Customer Documentation team at Thales. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality technical user documentation for our cutting-edge radar systems and command & control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and research technical information to create accurate and comprehensive documentation
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical specifications are up-to-date and accurate
  • Develop and maintain clear and concise text for operator, maintenance, and system manuals
  • Contribute to the development of new documentation formats and technologies, including animation, AR, VR, and video
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Author or similar role
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity
  • Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of STE (Simplified Technical English) and S1000D V3.0 and V4.1 Data Modules (DMs) is a plus
