About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Author to join our Customer Documentation team at Thales. As a Senior Technical Author, you will be responsible for developing technical user documentation for our high-tech products, including Radar Systems and Command & Control Systems.

About the Team

The Customer Documentation Team is a dynamic and innovative group of professionals who are passionate about creating high-quality documentation. We work closely with domain experts and specialists throughout the organization to ensure that our documentation is accurate, consistent, and easy to use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical user documentation for Radar Systems and Command & Control Systems
  • Collect and research technical information, and work with specialists to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Write and maintain clear and concise text for Operator, Maintenance, and System Manuals
  • Contribute to new developments in the field of publications, including the application of Animation, AR, VR, Video, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Technical background and/or affinity with technology
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Author or similar position
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to write accurate, consistent, clear, and concise English
  • Knowledge/experience in STE (Simplified Technical English) and S1000D V3.0 and V4.1 Data Modules (DMs) is a plus
