About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant to join our Energy Storage Northern Europe team at DNV. As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for providing technical consultancy services to our clients in the energy storage sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing consultancy/engineering projects on grid-scale energy storage systems, including business case assessments, technical due diligence, independent/owner's engineering, safety reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Managing medium-sized and large projects within the team and with other teams.
  • Independent business development activities, including leading and supporting business development, generating and handling proposals, and building strong relationships with external customers.
  • Preparing and giving presentations at customer meetings and events.
  • Tracking and responding to new industry/market developments.
  • Building an internal network to gain and share knowledge and opportunities.
  • Providing strong input on the team's strategic planning and marketing decisions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in electrotechnical engineering, sustainable energy technology, or a similar technical study.
  • At least 5 years of work experience, preferably related to the energy sector or energy technologies.
  • Understanding of the energy transition, the role of energy storage in transmission and distribution systems, and the technical aspects of this role and of various energy storage technologies themselves.
  • At least 2 years' experience with grid-scale energy storage systems/applications/regulations, particularly in Germany, as well as industry contacts, are a pro.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a clear pro).
  • Available for domestic (~1 day per week) and international travel (~4-6 times per year).
