Lead Business Solutions Analyst

We are excited to announce a position within the Trading Risk Management (TRM) Rates team, focusing on automation and process enhancement initiatives that impact our operations. The Lead Business Solutions Analyst will report directly to the Desk Head of Rates and collaborate with a team of change specialists to represent the TRM division.
As a member of the TRM Rates team, you will be instrumental in delivering and implementing system and process improvements while also conducting analyses and providing support to fellow TRM team members. This team is part of the Financial Risk – Trading Risk Management (FR TRM) department, which operates globally within ING, overseeing product control and market risk management functions.
The primary responsibilities of the team include measuring and analyzing daily Profit and Loss (P&L) generated by the trading desk, as well as monitoring and advising on market risk exposures within the trading books for FM Amsterdam activities. The team collaborates closely with the Front Office and colleagues across various locations. Additionally, the team engages in a range of regulatory compliance projects and ongoing system enhancements. You will be expected to take a proactive approach in collaborating with the team and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions. Furthermore, you will challenge existing processes and continuously seek improvements in systems and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
The main duties for this role include:
Evaluating, designing, and implementing process enhancements to assist the team in minimizing Unnecessary Data Activities (UDAs) within the department. Coordinating and managing change and improvement projects, acting as a liaison between Rates AMS and other stakeholders (IT, Front Office, and other TRM departments). Analyzing complex business challenges and proposing IT solutions or enhancements. Providing clear, timely, and effective updates regarding planning and deliverables. Supporting TRM colleagues during change management processes and communicating progress effectively. Actively participating in managing Quarterly Business Review (QBR) processes, ensuring that TRM requests are prioritized and fulfilled. Monitoring and managing ongoing process improvements and following up on unresolved issues. Addressing ad hoc requests as needed.How to Succeed

As a Lead Business Solutions Analyst, you should possess:
A Master's degree, preferably in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or Econometrics. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in market risk and product control. A solid understanding of financial products, value chain processes, and proven analytical capabilities. Project management experience with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships. A proactive, open-minded, and goal-oriented personality, capable of thriving in an agile environment. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with attention to both the big picture and details. A team player who can work independently within a cross-functional and geographically diverse organization. The ability to understand the TRM perspective in key change initiatives within the value chain. A flexible approach to complex and urgent requests. Proficiency in English.Rewards and Benefits
