Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Business Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and follow-up of activities and resources within the Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, preparation, and execution of activities and related procurement actions within the Business Unit.
  • Assess and monitor the status of procurement actions, including activity progress, payment plans, and financial charging.
  • Implement administrative actions related to procurement and contractual matters, including data entry in ESA Corporate SAP and local applications.
  • Maintain up-to-date data, perform data analysis, and produce reports to management and customers.
  • Assist in the definition, preparation, and implementation of management support tools to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
  • Liaise with Contract, Budget, and Payment Officers to ensure coherence of internal and external administrative data.
  • Contribute to the definition of new and improvement of existing processes and tools, and produce related documents.
  • Support risk management processes, including maintenance of risk registers and monitoring of risk mitigation actions.
  • Support inventory and asset management processes, including coordination of proper registration of inventory items and assets.
  • Support maintenance of industrial return databases, periodic verification of data against ESA systems, and forecasting of industrial return values.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in controlling and/or management of activities and resources in aerospace industry.
  • Highly proficient in the use of modern activities and resource management support tools/databases and standard office automation support software packages.
  • Experience as user of SAP.
  • Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to ESA specific context and environment.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.

This job is located in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.
