Job Title: Senior Manager Trade Compliance Europe

Johnson Controls International is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Trade Compliance Europe to lead our Regional Trade Compliance team in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement trade compliance programs, including risk assessment, training, and awareness, advisory, policies and procedures, monitoring, raising concerns and investigations.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sr. Managers to achieve global defined KPI's.
  • Work with Legal on internal and external audits in Europe, including UK, Norway, and Switzerland.
  • Provide guidance and support on Export Controls & Sanctions incidents.
  • Lead the broker management program and optimize the internal risk management program using Data Analytics.
  • Participate in strategic projects, including M&A transactions, with relevant compliance input, evaluation, and investigation.
  • Develop and enable a successful compliance team, mentoring and developing team members to transform the compliance function.
  • Develop and maintain records and metrics for the Trade Compliance program.
  • Collaborate with other departments to direct Trade Compliance issues to appropriate channels.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in international trade, law, tax, or business economics.
  • 5 years of experience in Customs & Global Trade in a multinational environment.
  • Proven experience leading a team in a multi-cultural, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a network within and outside the company.
  • Demonstrated experience with EU Export Controls & Sanctions, with understanding of UK and/or US Export Controls & Sanctions a plus.
  • Fluent in English, with a second language (Dutch, German, or Spanish) a plus.
