Special Assistant to the Registrar

Job Summary:
The Special Assistant to the Registrar will provide high-level support to the Registrar in the administration and servicing of the Court. The incumbent will be responsible for liaising with Registry Directors and Section Chiefs to support the implementation of decisions endorsed by the Registrar or the Registry Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Registry Directors and Section Chiefs to support the implementation of decisions endorsed by the Registrar or the Registry Management Team.
- Prepare and review reports and documents, including internal memoranda, letters, policy documents, and legal documents.
- Organize activities in support of the Registrar's external representational functions, including briefings for meetings and official travel.
- Contribute to the development of new proposals for policies, projects, and processes for the Registry or Court-wide.
- Coordinate with different organs and offices attached to the Registry on various aspects as required.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including host State authorities, representatives of States, inter-governmental organizations, NGOs, academia, and other.
Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in administration and business management, international law, or international relations and politics.
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in administration, judicial support services, or external relations and State cooperation.
- Excellent drafting skills, diplomatic skills, and interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to advise and interact directly with a senior executive manager.
- Knowledge of international law, including international criminal law, public international law, international human rights law, and international humanitarian law.
- Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English, is required.
