Our Services Segment is dedicated to providing tailored Logistic and In-Service Support solutions, whether for intricate combat management systems or standalone radar systems. With a dedicated team of around 200 professionals, we strive to enhance the operational availability of our clients' systems.

Team Overview
Within the Services Segment, the In-Service Support department integrates disciplines such as bids, products, and projects. As the Service Architect Manager, you will collaborate with a team of passionate Service Architects, offering customer-centric service solutions globally. You will also play a vital role in a multi-disciplinary product team, defining and proposing service solutions in conjunction with the Sales department for your designated products.

Role Overview
The Service Architect Manager (SAM) serves as the representative for the services discipline within Product Teams, tasked with outlining the comprehensive service solution for our products. This service offering is shaped by customer requirements (gathered through discussions or articulated in Requests for Information/Quotations), Thales' technical product roadmap, standardized service portfolio, service strategy, and insights gained from previous projects. The SAM's key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the Services discipline representative in Product Team(s), focusing on service-related aspects of the product plan, including service business potential and lifecycle phase transitions, while considering both the current and future installed base.
  • Defining proposal documents, costs, statements of work, and compliance statements during the bidding phase.
  • Occasionally visiting customer sites to support bid efforts.
  • Collaborating with the acquisition team (e.g., Sales) to drive service business development for the product, participating in customer visits, presentations, and workshops on lifecycle topics.
  • Contributing to the definition and maintenance of standardized service packages for products.
  • During new product developments, identifying enablers for service deliverables and activities.
  • Monitoring customer feedback regarding the product and relaying insights back to the organization.
  • Informing customers about product lifecycle stages and their implications for support.
  • Initiating and managing the creation of Service Letters related to the product.

Candidate Profile
The ideal Service Architect Manager:

  • Possesses a strong understanding of how to deliver value to customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Can balance the need for standardized service offerings with the necessity of customizing solutions to meet customer demands.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills.
  • Is adept at working within multi-departmental teams and can effectively organize and delegate tasks to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ideally has experience in Services, Logistic Engineering, proposal management, or asset management.
  • Can perform well under pressure.
  • Is curious and driven to enhance the Services roadmap and strategy based on market needs and lessons learned.
  • Demonstrates interest in a wide range of topics, including technology, services, training, and supply chain.
  • Is capable of thriving in a flexible work environment.
