This segment is equipped to provide tailored Logistic and In-Service Support solutions, whether for intricate combat management systems or standalone radar systems. Approximately 200 dedicated professionals work tirelessly to enhance the operational availability of our clients' systems.

About the Team
The In-Service Support department within the Services Segment comprises disciplines such as bids, products, and projects. As the Service Architect Manager, you will collaborate with a team of passionate Service Architects, providing customer-centric service solutions globally. You will also be part of a multi-disciplinary product team, responsible for defining and proposing service solutions for your designated products in collaboration with the Sales department.

Position Overview
The Service Architect Manager (SAM) serves as the representative for the services discipline within Product Teams, accountable for defining the comprehensive service solution throughout the product lifecycle. The service offerings are shaped by customer requirements (gathered through discussions or articulated in Requests for Information/Quotations), Thales' technical product roadmap, standardized service portfolio, services strategy, and insights gained from previous projects. The SAM plays a crucial role in new service business development, product innovation, and the enhancement of the standard services portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing the Services discipline in Product Teams, focusing on service-related aspects in the product plan, including business potential and lifecycle phase transitions, while considering both the current and future installed base.
  • Defining proposal documents, costs, statements of work, and compliance statements during the bidding phase.
  • Occasionally visiting customer sites to support bid efforts.
  • Collaborating with the acquisition team (e.g., Sales) to contribute to service business development for the product, including customer visits, presentations, and workshops on lifecycle topics.
  • Assisting in the definition and maintenance of standardized service packages for products.
  • During new product developments, identifying enablers for service deliverables and activities.
  • Monitoring customer feedback regarding the product and relaying this information back to the organization.
  • Informing customers about the lifecycle stages of the product and their implications for support.
  • Initiating and managing the creation of Service Letters related to the product.

Candidate Profile
The ideal Service Architect Manager:

  • Possesses a strong understanding of how to deliver value to customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Can balance the need for a standardized service portfolio with the necessity to customize solutions for individual customer needs.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills.
  • Is adept at working within multi-departmental teams and effectively organizing and delegating tasks to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ideally has experience in Services, Logistic Engineering, proposal management, or asset management.
  • Thrives under pressure.
  • Is curious and eager to enhance the Services roadmap and strategy based on market demands and lessons learned.
  • Demonstrates interest in a wide range of topics, including technology, services, training, and supply chain.
  • Can operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
