Thales Hengelo's Naval division encompasses six key segments, including the Services Segment, which consolidates expertise and activities to deliver comprehensive product life cycle management for Thales-NL solutions. This segment is equipped to provide tailored Logistic and In-Service Support solutions, whether for intricate combat management systems or standalone radar systems. Our dedicated team of approximately 200 professionals works tirelessly to enhance the operational availability of our clients' systems.
Team Overview
Within the Services Segment, the In-Service Support department integrates various disciplines, including bids, products, and projects. As the Service Architect Manager, you will collaborate with a team of passionate Service Architects, providing customer-centric service solutions globally. You will also be part of a multi-disciplinary product team, responsible for defining and proposing service solutions in conjunction with the Sales department for your designated products.
Role Responsibilities
The Service Architect Manager (SAM) plays a pivotal role in representing the services discipline within Product Teams, overseeing the definition of through-life service solutions for our products. The service offerings are crafted based on customer requirements, Thales' technical product roadmap, standardized service portfolio, strategic service initiatives, and insights gained from previous projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the Services discipline in Product Team(s) and managing service-related aspects of the product plan, including business potential and lifecycle transitions.
- Defining proposal documents, cost estimates, statements of work, and compliance statements during the bidding phase.
- Occasionally visiting customer sites to support bidding efforts.
- Collaborating with the acquisition team to drive service business development for the product, including customer visits and lifecycle presentations.
- Contributing to the definition and maintenance of standardized service packages for products.
- Identifying enablers for service deliverables during new product development.
- Monitoring customer feedback regarding the product and relaying insights back to the organization.
- Informing customers about product lifecycle stages and their implications for support.
- Initiating and managing the creation of Service Letters related to the product.
Candidate Profile
The ideal Service Architect Manager will possess:
- A strong understanding of how to deliver value to customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- The ability to balance the need for standardized service offerings with the necessity to customize solutions for individual customer needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working in multi-departmental teams and the capability to organize and delegate tasks effectively.
- Preferably, experience in Services, Logistic Engineering, proposal management, or asset management.
- The ability to thrive under pressure.
- A curious mindset, eager to enhance the Services roadmap and strategy based on market demands and lessons learned.
- An interest in a wide range of topics, including technology, services, training, and supply chain management.
- The flexibility to operate in a dynamic environment.
