About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Optical Designer to join our team at Sioux Technologies. As a key member of our Physics & Optics group, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of cutting-edge optical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop optical systems and products from concept to industrialization
  • Translate customer requirements into system specifications
  • Choose and develop concept solutions, including the use of optical design tools like Zemax
  • Ensure manufacturability and reliability of products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and realize designs
  • Guide junior engineers and coach them to develop their technical skills
Requirements
  • Completed academic degree (or PhD) in physics
  • Extensive experience in optical system design and development
  • Experience in design for series production and systems integration
  • Up-to-date knowledge of optical design and systems integration
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
