Senior Optical Designer

At Sioux Technologies, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in the high-tech community. We're seeking a seasoned Senior Optical Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology.
About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced optical designer who can guide the entire product creation process from concept to industrialization. As a senior, you'll play a key role in translating customer wishes into system requirements, choosing concept solutions, and converting them into designs using optical design tools like Zemax.
You'll work on multiple projects simultaneously, with each project taking up to two years. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the manufacturability and reliability of our products. You'll also be responsible for verifying designs and transferring them to production.
Your Experience- A completed academic degree (or PhD) in physics
- Extensive experience in designing optical systems and products, including imaging and machine vision applications
- Experience in designing optical systems for series production
- Knowledge of optical design and systems integration, including opto-mechanics, tolerance analysis, metrology, and calibration
- A talent for thinking on both a helicopter and detailed level, with excellent prioritization skills
- A creative mind that can think beyond conventional solutions and find innovative answers for our customers
- A broad understanding of technology, with a focus on improving quality and working methods
- A customer- and solution-oriented approach
- A proactive and enterprising attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- A willingness to continuously learn and develop yourself
