About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Optical Designer to join our team at Sioux Technologies. As a key member of our Physics & Optics group, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop optical systems and products, including imaging and machine vision applications
  • Lead the design process, guiding colleagues from other fields to further develop and realize designs
  • Guide junior engineers in their projects and coach them to further develop their technical talents
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest optical design techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Completed academic degree (or PhD) in physics
  • Extensive experience in optical system design and development
  • Strong knowledge of optical design tools, such as Zemax
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
