Documentation Specialist in Space Exploration

Serco, a leading Space Services Provider, is seeking a skilled Documentalist to join our team at the esteemed European Space Agency (ESA) site in the Netherlands. This remarkable opportunity grants access to one of the globe's highly coveted space agencies, launching your career into orbit.
Key Responsibilities- Document Management: Support the preparation, coordination, and publication of recurrent and non-recurrent documents prepared by the ESA Executive for the Programme Board.
- Documentation Control: Perform proofreading, formatting, and editing to ensure documents are structured, written, and formatted in a consistent manner prior to issuing.
- Template Development: Produce or modify document templates to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations for recurrent documentation.
- Document Readiness: Perform the planning, coordination, and document readiness tracking for submission of papers to ensure the timely delivery of formal documents.
- Document Generation: Perform document generation, including flow charts, graphics, proofreading, content compilation, and editing for recurrent or non-recurrent ESA documents/reports.
- Document Security: Support the coordination, preparation, and perform the timely approval process follow-up of documents to ensure security and safeguarding of the content.
- Document Archiving: Establish and maintain the archive of documents.
- Document Data Packs: Support coordination and finalization of document data packs to be issued to EC, International Partners, or Member States.
- A bachelor's degree from a recognized Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Communications.
- At least 4 years of previous relevant work experience in a similar role.
- A broad knowledge to navigate around and understand formal communication and be able to analyze a range of issues within the complex institutional environments of ESA, EU, and the relevant industrial landscape.
- Experience in documentation management and in the field of communication.
- A good sense of organization.
- The work associated with this position can require the handling of classified documentation.
- The candidate shall confirm to be eligible and willing to apply for a Personal Security Clearance from an EU country.
- Proficiency in the use of the Agency's information systems and tools is an asset.
- Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of another ESA member-state language is an asset.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
