About the Role

As a Duty Management Trainee at Hotel Okura, you will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the hotel industry. You will work closely with various departments, developing your skills and knowledge in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in intensive cross-training programs to familiarize yourself with hotel operations;
  • Assist departments during peak periods;
  • Contribute to finding creative solutions in crisis situations, ensuring the satisfaction of guests, employees, and the hotel;
  • Identify areas for improvement and discuss them with colleagues;
  • Act as a liaison for guests and employees, adapting to the hotel's needs;
  • Manage and follow up on complaints, sharing insights with department heads to prevent recurrence;
  • Prepare and submit Duty Reports;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exceed guest expectations.

Requirements

  • You are a student at a hotel school in the Netherlands (HBO) with experience in a luxury hotel or restaurant;
  • You have a passion for the hotel industry and excel in dynamic environments;
  • You are representative, proactive, and able to work under pressure;
  • You possess excellent communication and computer skills, with experience in MS Office and Opera;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (oral and written).

  • Trainee salary of 750 euros for a 38-hour week;
  • 1 day off per month for internships lasting at least 6 months;
