Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our Structural Topsides discipline. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leading the structural engineers in the design and development of offshore topsides structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise in structural analysis and design of offshore topsides structures, including FPSO modules, helidecks, flare towers, and hull integrations.
  • Lead a team of structural engineers in performing complex analysis, developing tools and standards, and supervising and supporting colleagues in structural calculations and designs.
  • Interface with clients, project management, other disciplines, procurement, construction, classification bureaus, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and expertise in structural analysis and design of offshore topsides structures.
Requirements:
  • MSc or BSc degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, Offshore, Naval, or Aerospace Engineering with specialization in structural analysis of offshore topside structures.
  • Approximately 12 years' experience in structural offshore engineering.
  • Strong management skills, good initiative, creative thinking, and team leadership abilities.
  • In-depth experience and sound technical knowledge of structural analysis of topside structures in conceptual, basic, and detailed design.
  • Experience in engineering and design of topside facilities of floating production units for the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of structural interfaces with related disciplines, i.e., piping, topside integrations, and other equipment integrations.
  • Familiarity with rules of classification societies, knowledge, and experience with structural design software, like GeniE.
  • Professional communication in English (verbal and written).
