The Role of the Product Risk Expert

You will play a critical role in engaging senior management in control and resilience accountability, focusing on product and customer risk. Your expertise will enable business leaders to maintain control over local processes and activities efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior managers across various business domains, showcasing your understanding of business acumen and providing innovative solutions for control and resilience.
  • Determine the implementation roadmap for new risk requirements in your area of expertise, collaborating with business lines to translate these into operational designs.
  • Design and implement control frameworks, first-line monitoring documents, and data-driven evaluation methods for your area of expertise, ensuring successful execution.
  • Engage tribes to incorporate control and resilience by design into their processes.
  • Educate and empower managers on control and resilience requirements and necessary compliance measures.
  • Analyze data and reports to shape the control and resilience agenda and facilitate relevant discussions in business meetings.
  • Apply the most suitable control and resilience solution to ensure compliance with local business processes or activities.
  • Inform and educate Assurance Operations teams on changing business needs, opportunities, and assurance requirements.
  • Liaise with relevant 2LoD and 3LoD colleagues for risk management queries and advice on mitigating activities.

Requirements

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree with up to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Private Individuals domain.
  • In-depth knowledge of Private Individuals products and processes or the ability to quickly acquire it.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good understanding of NFR Framework, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven planning and organizational abilities.
  • Driven and customer-focused individual with excellent collaboration skills.
  • A team player who can work independently in close cooperation with other ING colleagues.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, problem-solving skills, and proactive approach.
  • Able to ask for help, receive feedback, and give constructive feedback.
  • A pragmatic, thorough, and results-driven approach.
  • The capacity to learn new content and acquire new networks quickly.
  • Strong organization sensibility and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary tailored to your qualities and experience, as well as benefits such as:
