About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Lead System Analysis Engineer to join our team in support of Earth observation missions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the success of these missions by providing expert analysis and advice on system performance, operations, and maintenance.

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing system analysis tasks, including performance assessments and improvement studies, for Earth observation missions.">
  • They will work closely with mission managers, engineers, and scientists to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance system performance.">
  • Additionally, they will represent the team during interactions with partners, both within ESA and externally, to ensure effective coordination and communication.">
  • The role also involves consolidating and applying standard work methods and document structures for mission and system analysis.">
  • They will participate in key mission reviews, providing expert advice to mission teams and proposing analysis studies as necessary.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in an engineering field or a related subject is required for this post.">
  • The ability to specify ad-hoc software tools to support required tasks.">
  • Experience in negotiating specific study requirements and expected outputs with partners.">
  • Strong coordination skills and the ability to develop and apply pragmatic solutions in a highly complex environment at system and team level.">
  • Knowledge of relevant mission analysis software tools.">
