Job Title: Professor of International Teacher Education

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor of International Teacher Education to join our team at NHL Stenden. As a Professor, you will be responsible for conducting innovative research in international teacher education, directing a research group, and contributing to the development of education in which internationalization is central.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct innovative, complex, and multidisciplinary research in international teacher education
  • Direct a research group and develop a multi-year research plan
  • Contribute to the development of education in which internationalization is central
  • Build connections with the programmes of both Educational Academies and the work field
  • Work towards impact in professional practice, education, and professionalization
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Relevant international academic and professional network
  • Pedagogical and academic affinity to the nature and content of International Teacher Education courses
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in international education and teacher education
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing research projects and raising grants/funds
  • Proven track-record in co-creation of knowledge between the work field and education
  • Ability to lead a research team in a clear, fair, organized, and inclusive manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
