About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. As a Project Manager for Women in Quantum Development, you will play a key role in advancing initiatives that support and advance the careers of women and non-binary individuals in quantum science and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Symposium Organization: Lead the planning and execution of the Annual WIQD Symposium, ensuring a successful and impactful event.
  • Mentorship Program Execution: Design and implement a six-month mentorship program pilot in collaboration with Germany.
  • Event and Conference Management: Organize and manage WIQD events and conferences for mentees and mentors in the Netherlands.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Support volunteers essential to WIQD's programs.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for various projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Key Competences
  • Project Management: Proven ability and track-record of several years in planning, executing, and overseeing complex projects, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and work collaboratively with a diverse team, volunteers and international partners.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and motivating a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to changing circumstances and the ability to pivot strategies to meet project goals.
