We are seeking an experienced Linux system administrator to oversee the daily operations of our ICT systems and lead a team of three in Amsterdam.

The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a multitasking environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of admins to ensure 24/7 support and maximum uptime of our systems
  • Upgrading, patching, and configuring systems, as well as troubleshooting and performance analysis
  • Advanced Linux Kernel tuning and optimization, including systems performance hierarchy principles, latency, BIOS configurations, and Low Latency & Throughput technologies
  • Experience with Low Latency technologies, such as server hardware, CPU technology, IO subsystems, and Ethernet hardware
  • TCP/IP Networking and advanced systems tuning, network topology, and fire-walled environments

Additional requirements include:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Duration: 6-12 months, extension possible
