Senior Research Assistant

Position: Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I/II in Population-Based Study
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our research team in the Department of Anaesthesiology at the School of Clinical Medicine. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis and is intended for a duration of up to two years, with the potential for extension based on funding and performance.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in healthcare-related fields such as population health, epidemiology, biostatistics, social sciences, or a similar discipline. A background in chronic pain, substance use, and healthy lifestyle practices is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in quantitative analysis and statistical modeling, along with experience in managing extensive population-based datasets. Familiarity with statistical software such as R, SAS, or STATA is preferred. Candidates with less experience or lower qualifications may be considered for the Research Assistant I/II position.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
- Assisting the Principal Investigator in executing research initiatives;
- Preparing and managing quantitative data for statistical analysis;
- Supporting data management and analytical tasks;
- Creating materials for presentations, proposals, and reports;
- Performing additional duties as required.
A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will be on a fixed-term basis, which includes a contract-end gratuity and contributions to a retirement benefits scheme, amounting to up to 10% of the basic salary.
