Position Overview

The Senior Director of Logistics for Europe is responsible for overseeing all logistical operations within the region, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering exceptional service to customers and consumers. Key responsibilities include:

- Management of regional distribution centers, including both Coty-owned and third-party logistics (3PL) facilities.

- Oversight of regional transportation networks for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) operations.

- Maintenance and enhancement of inventory accuracy while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

- Collaboration with the regional Go-to-Market teams, including customer service and market supply, as well as the central transportation team to optimize service levels and inventory management.

- Ownership of logistics costs and budget management, with a focus on a $110 million budget and the development of ongoing savings initiatives.

- Development of operational excellence plans for warehousing and transportation, fostering strong relationships with 3PL providers and transportation partners.

Role Objectives

The primary goal of this position is to ensure a premier logistics framework that balances cost, service, and capability to meet the evolving needs of the business.

The Senior Director will establish the regional strategy for warehouse operations and last-mile deliveries, while also supporting local customs and trade compliance.

This role requires visionary leadership to formulate and execute the appropriate strategy, drive action plans, and ensure alignment with Coty's ambitions, including ongoing productivity and sustainability enhancements.

Leading a diverse organization across multiple countries, the Senior Director will cultivate the necessary skills and talent development to ensure sustained performance.

Additionally, this role will spearhead global logistics projects that contribute to Coty's supply chain ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and uphold adherence to Coty's global logistics strategy.
  • Take full accountability for all regional logistics activities and outcomes.
  • Develop and manage the regional logistics budget, implementing plans to reduce logistics costs both in absolute terms and as a percentage of gross sales.
  • Lead the regional logistics team, establishing the necessary framework, systems, and tools to create a best-in-class logistics network.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional logistics partners.
  • Initiate productivity improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and carbon emissions.
  • Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive simplification and standardization of logistics solutions.
  • Establish and maintain business continuity plans.

Qualifications

  • Extensive logistics experience is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, preferably within a multinational organization.
  • Demonstrated personal and professional integrity.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the potential for broader responsibilities.
  • Strategic mindset with a drive to innovate.
  • Ability to implement effective leadership strategies.
  • End-to-end logistics perspective.
  • Proficient in navigating complex systems and processes to extract key information for decision-making and process enhancement.
