Job Title: Senior Portfolio Manager Corporate Real Estate

As a Senior Portfolio Manager Corporate Real Estate at ING, you will play a key role in optimizing our global corporate real estate portfolio, comprising approximately 1 million square meters of office space and 800 retail branches across 40 countries. You will report directly to the Global Head of Corporate Real Estate.

About the Team:

You will be part of a small, professional, and ambitious team of experts with diverse knowledge in real estate, finance, and workplace innovation. The team operates in an informal and flexible manner, with a clear focus on delivering measurable results within agreed timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate, evaluate, and test the Corporate Real Estate strategy against various internal and external influences, such as hybrid working, sustainability requirements, and market trends.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated accommodation plan that aligns with the Corporate Real Estate strategy, ensuring real estate accommodation needs can be forecasted from a long-term to short-term perspective.
  • Manage demand management at both group and local levels, maintaining relationships with senior management and country management.
  • Lead the process of site selection, setting out the scope and strategy, supporting transactions, and managing the approval process of business cases.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the portfolio, such as increasing flexibility to reduce costs and anticipate demand uncertainties.
  • Set out the transition of the office portfolio to meet sustainability targets by 2035.
  • Collaborate and lead cross-functional project teams.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in real estate management, portfolio analysis, or consulting.
  • Commitment to developing knowledge and skills, with a sense of responsibility for work.
  • Master of Real Estate (MRE) or MBA preferred.
  • Analytical skills, combined with a creative view on facts and figures, and the ability to summarize and synthesize findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in numbers, calculation software (Excel), and presentation tools (PowerPoint).
  • Professional values: integrity, loyalty, independence, and fact-based decision-making.
  • Profound interest and experience in corporate real estate calculation and simulation models, financials, benchmarks, and other relevant areas.
  • Ambitious team player with the ability to operate in a complex management environment.
  • Fluency in English, both orally and in writing.
