Zurich Insurance Company is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Liability and Financial Lines team. As the Head of Liability and Financial Lines, you will be responsible for managing a team of underwriters and developing strategies to expand our book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of underwriters to achieve business objectives and expand our portfolio
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvement and customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors and customers to retain and acquire business
- Establish key performance targets and financial budgets to optimize business performance
- Review complex analysis and provide technical recommendations to improve business performance
- Participate in leadership team meetings to provide guidance and enable implementation of policy, projects, and change initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor or master degree and 10 or more years of experience in commercial insurance
- Strong leadership skills and extensive experience as a manager
- Advanced and in-depth knowledge of insurance products and lines of business
- Skilled in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis, and win-win negotiating
- Strong presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (French is an advantage)
