Lead Underwriting Services Manager

At Zurich Insurance Company, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to assume the role of Team Lead Underwriting Services Domestic for our Underwriting Services Specialists in the Netherlands. The Underwriting Services (UWS) Team plays a crucial role in managing insurance administration tasks such as policy issuance and invoicing. This function is integral to the value proposition offered by Zurich Insurance Company in the Benelux region, where we specialize in non-life insurance for both local and international enterprises.
This position is a full-time hybrid role, with responsibilities based in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
In this capacity, you will oversee service delivery for the Domestic segment in the Netherlands, while also engaging with some international aspects. You will lead a team of approximately 10 full-time employees and contribute to the strategic direction of UWS in the Benelux region, reporting directly to the Head of UWS & IPZ Benelux.
Leadership Responsibilities
Inspire, coach, and guide your team in their daily operations. Foster an environment that promotes employee development, recognition, and rewards. Continuously seek improvements in the end-to-end customer experience processes. Actively engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing UWS. Collaborate closely with other team leaders and departments to support our business objectives. Ensure governance, including risk identification and mitigation, audit compliance, customer outcomes, complaints management, breaches, and quality frameworks.Service Delivery Responsibilities
Guarantee the provision of exceptional service within established timelines, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction in line with Zurich guidelines. Monitor team performance against quality and service delivery KPIs. Cultivate relationships with customers and brokers to address challenges and gather constructive feedback on services. Take ownership of resolving complex issues through commercial and business acumen. Drive process enhancements and align operations with those in Belgium.Skills & Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent). A valid WfT schade certificate is required. At least 5 years of team management experience within an insurance company or brokerage in a customer-facing role. Familiarity with National Insurance processes and the market, demonstrating a strong focus on delivery and execution. Ability to navigate through ambiguity and manage change effectively. A strong commitment to customer centricity and enhancing the customer experience. Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.What We Offer
