Job Description

We are currently looking for a skilled Solutions Architect to join our team in The Hague, Netherlands. As part of our Development team, you will work closely with the Architecture team and delivery project engineers to define solutions and assess technologies suitable for deployment or amendment.

Your Tasks
  • Drive definition of solutions (blueprinting) together with peers in the Architecture team and delivery project engineers;
  • Assess technologies and products suitable for the solution to be deployed or amended, including security, application, and infrastructure aspects;
  • Collaborate actively with the security and compliance teams, within and outside of ICT, to devise, discuss, and agree on applicable security and compliance controls matching Europol policies and regulations;
  • Write OAUTH authentication mechanisms and implement validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests;
  • Provide engineering and delivery teams guidance and clarifications on solution or product characteristics, behaviour expected, and objectives to be achieved.
Requirements
  • University degree and more than 9 years of experience in ICT Solution Architecture and Design;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in solution architecture definition, documentation, and delivery support;
  • Experience in at least one project devising big data solutions leveraging technologies such as Elasticsearch, Neo4J, NoSQL databases, and SQL databases;
  • Experience with solutions related to data acquisition processing, reporting, analytics solutions, such as data visualization, pipelining, etc.;
  • Good Knowledge of microservices-based architectures and supporting data/application integration methods;
  • Knowledge of ArchiMate or other equivalent architecture notation;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
