We are seeking a highly motivated doctoral researcher to join our team at Eindhoven University of Technology. This position is part of the ERC project "EQUATE", which aims to engineer quantum materials for terahertz applications.
About the Project
The goal of this project is to study the ultrafast thermodynamic properties of layered quantum materials and exploit these properties towards functional terahertz devices with unprecedented performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on 2D materials and their properties
- Develop and implement ultrafast optical techniques and terahertz spectroscopy
- Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals
- Communicate research findings through publications and presentations
Requirements
- Master's degree in (applied) physics or a related field
- Experience in research on 2D materials and/or ultrafast optical techniques and/or terahertz spectroscopy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
