The Role
As a Senior B2B Pricing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing profitability and ensuring pricing consistency across our commercial operations. Your expertise in pricing and analytics will enable you to deliver objective, data-driven insights that support our sales teams in achieving their regional objectives. You will be instrumental in formulating pricing strategies, overseeing the escalation process, and monitoring profitability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to the sales team to optimize profitability and maintain pricing consistency.
- Gather and analyze pricing data, including raw material costs and regional pricing structures.
- Facilitate daily price realization through precise calculations and strategic recommendations.
- Deliver unbiased, fact-based insights to support cross-functional decision-making.
- Prepare and update data uploads regularly.
- Assess the impact of pricing recommendations on current pricing and forecast potential escalations.
- Initiate and oversee price escalations to uphold margin integrity.
- Drive continuous improvements in pricing and profitability practices.
- Develop proactive and reactive recommendations for sales leadership to meet regional targets.
- Assist in managing customer pricing agreements and contracts.
- Prepare quarterly updates for pricing lists.
- Support quarterly reviews of price realization.
- Contribute to annual pricing strategies by analyzing historical performance and formulating margin recommendations.
- Play a critical role in shaping pricing strategies and monitoring profitability actions.
- Participate in the annual pricing proposal process by conducting thorough analyses.
- Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and data manipulation skills.
- Understand the broader implications of pricing decisions and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Exhibit proven analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational capabilities.
- Communicate effectively to persuade and engage various stakeholders.
- Possess a generalist background with experience in implementing corrective and improvement measures.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in analytics, pricing, finance, or similar roles.
- Advanced analytical skills, including expertise in MS Excel, BI tools, SQL, and other analytical platforms.
- Proven experience in data reporting and analysis, with a track record of resolving issues arising from incomplete or inaccurate data.
- Familiarity with value-based pricing and pricing research methodologies is preferred.
- Strong business acumen and a genuine interest in the food and chemical sectors.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
