The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a challenging project that involves redesigning the Auxiliary Compartment (ACOM) frame.
Background InformationASML's Development & Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the specification, design, and realization of all products in the ASML portfolio. Within the D&E sector, the Mechanical Development cluster is responsible for the definition, realization, and qualification of mechanical modules and (sub)systems within these products.
Your AssignmentThe primary objective of this internship is to conduct a feasibility study on the redesigning of the ACOM frame. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating the background of the current design, updating the requirements, defining new concepts, and sketching the solution in Siemens NX.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate the background of the current design
- Update the requirements: functionality, cost of goods, cost of service, manufacturability, safety regulations, reliability, and ergonomics
- Define several new concepts
- Organize and prepare a decision-making session with relevant stakeholders
- Sketch the solution in Siemens NX
- Elaborate the chosen solution in more detail
- Conclude and recommend the final design
To be a match for this internship, you should have:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- Affinity with mechanical design, preferably in NX CAD
- Solution-oriented and hands-on mentality
- Good communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
