We are seeking a Corporate Affairs Trainee to join our team in Schiphol-Rijk, Netherlands, for a period of 6 months. This role will report into the Vice President, Corporate Affairs and work alongside senior management on Regulatory and Public Policy topics, assisting the Regulatory, Public Policy, Communications and Corporate Responsibility Teams.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing briefing materials for senior management, such as Board presentations, briefing notes for meetings with high-level political figures, EU and national regulators, etc.
  • Analysing the latest telecommunications regulation and tracking competition policy developments.
  • Following European political events and issues.
  • Supporting the organization and logistics of internal and external events.
  • Proof-reading, editing and writing documents for internal and external distribution.
  • Archiving, updating and maintaining files and electronic project databases for the regulation and public policy function.

We look for candidates with:

  • A completed Master degree in Law, Economics, European Studies or similar.
  • Ability to work confidently and comfortably with peers and senior-level executives.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
  • An interest in current affairs.
  • Fluency in English - other EU languages would be an advantage.
  • Strong computer skills; excellent command of Microsoft Office programs, PowerPoint in particular.
  • Work experience in a relevant professional environment would be useful but not essential.
