We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Director of Engagement and Research Services at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to create positive societal impact through excellent research and engagement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for research and engagement, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
- Lead a team of professionals in providing high-quality research and engagement services to faculty and staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including research funders, industry leaders, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement research initiatives that address societal challenges.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to faculty and staff on research and engagement-related matters.
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to support research and engagement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in research and engagement, and apply this knowledge to inform our strategy and operations.
**Requirements**
- PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in research and engagement, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful research and engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
