About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Polymer Scientist to join our team at Corbion. As a key member of our Polymer Technology group, you will be responsible for driving the development of new polymer technologies and contributing to our strategic roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead innovation projects, focusing on the creation of new polymer technologies and products.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Polymer Science, providing scientific excellence and leadership to drive business success.
  • Contribute to the design, planning, and execution of complex research and innovation projects, ensuring high technical quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure involvement of diverse expertise and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Manage a team of polymer technology scientists and technicians, focusing on their health, wellbeing, and engagement.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of industrial work experience in polyester-based polymer technology, with knowledge of materials and technologies used in the medical and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in product and process development, preferably in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of IP-related topics and driving IP strategy for product and processes developed.
  • Experience in scale-up and transfer activities, including process validation.
  • Experience in technical project management, particularly with driving techno-economic assessments in projects.
  • Passion for innovation and sustainability, with a commitment to deliver on promises and eagerness to deliver through collaboration.
