Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP

Rituals is looking for an enthusiastic intern to join the Innovation team at the Rituals office in Amsterdam in February 2025 for 5/6 months. The responsibility of the Innovation Team is to deliver successful innovative products that provide continued commercial value for Rituals. We bring hundreds of new products to the market each year and we ensure that our existing product portfolio is continuously updated to best in class technology to deliver exciting and sustainable products and concepts.

During this internship you will be part of the Global Assortment Team. This role has 2 related but differentiated aspects:

Global Assortment: This team serves as the central link between the Category teams and the Commercial teams. Working closely with Supply Chain, Format & Design and Innovation Data team, we collaboratively define the assortment for different markets.

Pricing: Prices at Rituals are managed centrally from our Amsterdam office and this consists of strategic price decisions made together with other departments as well as operational aspects. This role will bring great exposure to Innovation as well as different areas of the company like Finance, Retail, Markets and our different lines of business (LOBs).

Due to the dynamic environment of Rituals, there are many tasks and projects that can be tackled during the internship.

YOUR ACCOUNTABILITES

 Global Assortment:

  • Ensure optimal assortment selection, and strategic distribution planning across channels and regions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to create presentations on product innovations and distribution.
  • Actively participate in assortment meetings, support optimization projects (e.g., Asia and Outlet), and work closely with the Data team.
  • Maintain and update the Distribution Matrix and Year plan, keeping stakeholders informed on product launches.

Pricing:

  • Learn the pricing process at Rituals, how things are priced and how we maintain them in our different systems and files.
  • Handle requests from Markets or other teams who need pricing support.
  • Coordinate changes with Markets, LOBs and Data Entry team.
  • Contribute to launch of new pricing software

Both internal-and external stakeholder management is a huge part of your job.

Other than the above-mentioned responsibilities, there is the opportunity to learn about the more strategic aspects of Pricing and Assortment in this role.

 

 


Qualifications

YOUR INGREDIENTS

  • HBO/WO student in any Business-related field (e.g. Economics, Hospitality Management).
  • Available February 2025 for a period of 5 or 6 months for 32 / 40 hours
  • Able to handle 2 different topics throughout the internship: Assortment and Pricing.
  • Strong stakeholder, communication and relationship management capabilities.
  • You work proactively, independently and have a hands-on mentality whilst keeping an eye for detail;
  • Has a like for numbers with strong analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • You maintain strong knowledge and application in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
