Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technical Support & Network Engineer to join the team of our client. Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, particularly with Juniper devices, and will be responsible for providing onsite technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining network systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, including Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, and other network appliances
  • Perform regular network performance monitoring and tuning to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and manage network changes, upgrades, and migrations to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Provide onsite technical support to clients, addressing hardware and software issues related to network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, routing problems, and security breaches promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex network issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions to management and stakeholders.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference and training purposes.

RequirementsQualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support and network engineering, with a strong focus on Juniper networks.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic software.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.Juniper certifications (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP) will be a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

This is an onsite position requiring regular presence at client location in Amsterdam.
