An important HR pillar and priority is to optimize our HR Operations & Services and ensure a state-of-the-art employee and manager experience, both ‘in real life’ as well as digitally.
We are therefore in the process of building a scalable global HR Operations & Services team, centrally led from the Head Office in Amsterdam. The Director HR operations & Services plays a key leadership role in the global HR transformation to develop a central HR Operations & Service delivery to ensure continuity, efficiency, and scalability.

You lead the way in further developing the global HR Strategy, enabling smooth implementation and adoption of key HR initiatives on the roadmap. You ensure continuous improvement of our global core HR operations & services processes and systems in support of the candidate & employee journey. You keep it simple but effective. Together with your team, you ensure alignment to the key priorities globally, resulting in a compliant administration cycle, systems, data and insights that lead to a perfect and meaningful employee experience. You act with a passion to improve efficiency, experience, quality and speed.

For 40 hours per week, you give new meaning to the words 'aim big, act small' in a fast growing retail environment. You:

  • As a member of the Global HR Management team -and reporting directly into the Global HR Director-, you are a strong partner & thought leader with a focus on optimizing efficiency and consistency in HR operations across all countries and departments.
  • Lead the Global HR Operations & Services Team (31 fte) consisting of 5 functional pillars: Global HR Operations, Global HR Process Excellence, HR Analytics & Data, HR Project Portfolio Management and Global HR Process Ownership.
  • Oversee all projects in PMO and be a couple of steps ahead of any possible bottlenecks in implementation, rollout etc. You take ownership for deliverables and timelines.
  • Actively participate in designing improved processes and system flows and maximize further automisation & simplification of daily HR business operations.
  • Functionally responsible for our digital HR landscape, requiring close collaboration with our Business Technology team who are the central budget holders of all Rituals technology.
  • Lead global HR transformation and day to day operations processes & systems, optimize end to end processes and ensure one way of working to align with the Rituals strategy.
  • Partner with global / regional HR Operations teams as well as with our Business Technology, Accounting, Payroll and Business Control teams to align ways of working, systems and reporting.
  • Establish key operational metrics and reporting tools and partner with your HR MT counterparts and HR Market Leads to develop an HR Services dashboard and key performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement project plans (such as HR service delivery/HR processes), analyze HR service effectiveness, deliver workforce insights and analytics & structural reporting. 
  • Integrate HR digital developments, service, advise & operations into HR operations ensuring alignment of the (digital) employee journey.

You’re a strong team player, adjusting naturally to changing situations and looking for opportunities to collaborate where possible. On top of it:

  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree from accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • Broad, in depth experience within the HR Operations & Services and HR digital fields.
  • Demonstrated capability to improve processes and deliver large and/or complex HR projects as well as Operations and HR service deliveries.
  • Fast growing retail environment is for you close to your heart; you are a frontline thinker.
  • You have at least 10-15 years’ experience; whereby you have proven expertise and capability in transformation/HR service delivery model.
  • Strong team leader. People management of larger teams (> 25 employees),
  • Knowledge of GDPR, HR Governance, Legislation.
  • A strong and compelling point of view around HR Operations, Digital HR transformation and Employee centered HR.
  • Experienced in driving an Operational Excellence and Process Optimization culture.
  • You are an analytical & strategic thinker, innovative, bold, and not scared of challenging the status quo yet humble and service minded when needed.
  • You reside in the Netherlands or must be able to move on very short notice; the hybride model is no option.
