JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a skilled Deployment Manager SmartHome, to join our Technology Platforms group, with experience in handling deployments through 3rd parties, driving & explaining delivery of mass scale service provider Smart Home ecosystems (home gateway, video STB, WiFi mesh) and complementary services with high quality and in a timely fashion
In this role, you will,
Overall, you will nurture LG’s SmartHome deployment supervising its success and enable LG toprovide an outstanding in-home Wireless experience Manage relationships with our markets, internal LG teams and driving technology partners,keeping well-informed, and guiding the deployments to ensure that LG’s interest can be upheld Ensure & Analyse the success of Wireless & Connectivity Deploymentsfor our in-home CPE and Mesh devices, ensuring that business requirements are met & delivered via our key technology partners and ensuring our broader connectivity eco-system is in mint condition Align with LG Architects on the demand architecture vs technology partners execution of LG’s CPE Wireless strategy, across WiFi, IoT, and 4G/5Own the deployment for Liberty Global’s platforms, services and apps that form the ConnectivityTechnology Platform
Act as the principal technical interface and subject matter expert towards LG’s markets, providing consultation and facilitation of connectivity deployments and trials, while striking alignment on technology delivery, promoting a cohesive approach to the deployment of connectivity services
Ensure outstanding customer experience in deployment process of CPE Wireless & Connectivity firmware/platforms for LG’s in-home CPE and Mesh devices, underpinning a 2nd to none connectivity ecosystem, part of the Connectivity Technology Platform – One Connect Review detailed technical documentation & recommendations and be able to understand the quality developed as well as explain, understand, and guide our markets, work closely with markets & driving technology partners on new features, review deployment metrics and improvement plans were needed Proactively identify and address quality issues, risks, and challenges both internally and towards driving technology partners, both during the deployment as in-life phase
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Connectivity deployment Subject Matter Expert, overseeing new release trial and deployment for Wifi platform, CPE software, Apps and Platform technologies across multiple LG’s markets
Accountable to ensure WiFi performance & quality delivered by driving technology partners is performant, of high quality and is deployed timely with minimal customer impact: Aligning with partner markets, track SmartHome demand, review validation and TFT reports, address shortcoming and dependencies with driving technology partner teams; product, development, validation and operational in written & speech as well as aligning with internal architecture/product teams Deep understanding of WiFi challenges & protocols, not limited to trial and rollout phases and able to review & comment on technical & process improvements / directions towards driving technology partners product, development, validation, and operational teams in written & speech: As a Wifi authority you will be addressing improvements/shortcomings on technical, telemetry, process, quality, and execution You are the authority within LG who has the up-to-date view both from executing technology partners and across all markets what has been, is being deployed in markets, aware of any dependencies with other OneConnect deliverables or delays, challenges or defects raised by markets related to Wifi / SmartHome deploymentsContribute to the delivery demand and design stages by :
Providing telemetry requirements to enable data driven decision. o Providing insights on markets’ specific requirements, performance indicators and trends o Ensuring committed fixes for open defects are part of the scope Flagging any specific market’s configurations to be considered for new feature developments Staying on top of market’s specific roadmap, regulatory, privacy & security compliance topics to ensure our platform and products align with local applicable standards, regulations and policies Reviewing the proposed product and technical user storiesTrack Product and Technical readiness through the delivery workflow. Proactively realign trials and market communication if any deliverable timelines are changed
Ensure that deliveries meet the defined criteria at the various gates: technical & environment readiness, product readiness, quality, documentation & reports, and that an accurate handover is performed to the required parties Ensure that each delivery is deployed in the relevant markets within the agreed scope, fully operational, on time and with the agreed quality & performance. Supervise any deviations, delays, negative/positive trends Attend or coordinate the relevant meetings to supervise deployment activities Act as the principal technical interface and subject matter expert towards LG’s markets Build and maintain positive relationship with our market stakeholders, our suppliers, and the other departments within LG, to promote a cohesive approach to the deployment of entertainment servicesBe responsible for the trial activities, align with markets, suppliers, and product teams:
Ensure full alignment and cohesive approach from all stakeholders Contribute to defect prioritization. Ensure these defects get proven workarounds and/or committed resolution dates Use and develop data analytics to supervise KPIs and trends, raise defects accordingly Track and report on deployment and trial progress Work with markets to ensure identification of target trial audience and consolidation of their feedback Proactively identify and mitigate deployment risks Provide inputs for the delivery gates Provide required data for SLA, KPI and MSL tracking Collaborate closely with our markets, suppliers, and product teams, to understand requirements & scope of deliverables, define and implement improved trial approaches, and ensure alignment with strategic objectivesContinuously reassess what we deliver and how deliver, to keep improving our delivery process efficiency and our customers’ experience.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Demonstrable experience as a Technology Delivery Manager or Technical Project Manager, with a focus on Cloud Based Ecosystems, within a telco / service provider environment Working with sophisticated technology projects and test, certification and system integration activities in the telecommunications, cable, and/or media industrie Deep knowledge in de-bugging and thrive on fixing and analysis of software systems Data analytics with skills on data visualization tools such as Kibana & Grafana Substantial technical knowledge of Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi standards Sophisticated Mesh, DFS operation and interaction with underlying ODM systems. o Good overall knowledge and understanding of the software and middleware components that underpin modern embedded Connectivity CPE (e.g., RDK-B, OpenWRT, OE, HAL, SDKs) o Experience in deployment of cloud-based software services, mobile apps and connected consumer electronics (e.g., CPE, IOT devices) is desirableDESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Interpersonal skills, proficient spoken and written English – ideally other European languages Experience with working in an international, diverse, and distributed team environment Basic knowledge of ▪ IP, DOCSIS, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, TR69 Takes ownership & feels accountable for own actions Collaborative working style, optimally across national boundaries Has a detailed, focused, and analytical approach to problem solving Self-motivated with the ability to continually self-monitor & develop in a global matrix working environment Ability to work well under pressure, being proactive in the working environment; consistent track record to work with speed and accuracy to deadlines is crucial Useful: understanding STB, DTV Middleware platforms and Video Delivery technologies across different networks Ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization up to VP level
