Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Regional Director, Europe with a strong background in the renewable energy and photovoltaic (PV) inverter industry to lead our operations and drive growth across the European region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the renewable energy market, particularly in solar energy and PV inverters, and a proven track record of scaling businesses in this sector. This role requires strategic leadership, exceptional industry knowledge, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a regional strategy to expand the company’s presence in the European renewable energy market, with a focus on PV inverters and related technologies.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, market opportunities, and regulatory changes in the renewable energy sector.
- Align regional goals with the company’s global vision and objectives.
- Business Development:
- Drive the acquisition of new business opportunities, including partnerships, distributors, and key accounts, to grow market share in the PV inverter and renewable energy sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including utilities, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms), developers, and government agencies.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee regional operations, ensuring efficient and compliant execution of projects and initiatives.
- Manage regional budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth for team members.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the region.
- Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary representative of the company in Europe, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry leaders.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and resolve escalated issues promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on regional performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and regulatory changes impacting the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a strong focus on photovoltaic inverters and solar energy systems.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue targets in the European renewable energy market.
- Deep understanding of European market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and cultural nuances.
- Strong network of industry contacts, including utilities, EPCs, developers, and government agencies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within Europe and internationally as required.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
