As part of our growth in Europe and to stay commercially successful, we are now looking at appointing a Director of Business Development, Integrated Solutions. Thus, continuing to respond to changing customer demands, and ensuring we provide our customers with value-adding services.


Role overview


As Director of Business Development, Integrated Solutions - Europe, you will champion our efforts in expanding and growing the integrated transportation and logistics services business across Europe.


You will oversee a team of business development professionals, manage key client accounts, and work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver best-in-class temperature-controlled logistics solutions.


Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the European business development strategy for integrated temperature-controlled supply chain solutions. Define long-term growth targets, identify key markets, and establish a vision for the team’s success.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and inspire a team of business development professionals. Foster a high-performance culture centered on trust, collaboration, and accountability. Drive individual and team development while balancing long-term goals with short-term execution.
  • New Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across Europe, focusing on high-value, strategic customers. Influence the sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring that their needs are understood and met through tailored, innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with operations, finance, marketing, and legal, and warehouse commercial teams to ensure smooth implementation of new contracts and solutions.
  • Tactical Execution: While focusing on long-term strategy, be prepared to roll up your sleeves and participate in the tactical execution of business development activities to meet revenue goals and operational objectives.



Please note that this role will require 30-50% travel within Europe to meet clients, attend trade events, and establish partnerships.

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone who can combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, while instilling a culture of bold leadership, innovation, trust, and servant leadership within their team.


This high-visibility role requires a dynamic changemaker who will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver complex, end-to-end supply chain solutions.


We’d like you to have:

  • A minimum of 10 years in business development within the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry, with significant experience in integrated solutions including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, port drayage, road transportation, and warehousing.
  • Proven track record of inspiring and guiding business development teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience in managing relationships with senior executives and large, complex clients.
  • A good understanding of the temperature-controlled supply chain market, including industry trends, regulatory requirements, and operational challenges.
  • Expertise in global freight forwarding, customs brokerage, road transportation, and warehousing operations.
