What is the job?


As Sales Executive - Meetings & Events you will support the department Sales, Meetings & Events. You optimize and boost sales of banquet facilities combined with room nights.​



Your day-to-day


As a Sales Executive - Meetings & Events, you will maximize revenue opportunities in the areas of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. The Sales Executive - Meetings & Events will interact frequently with Guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business. Specifically, the Sales Executive - Meetings & Events will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:​


· Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue​


· Seek opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the Team​


· Handling all incoming phone, fax, email and web reservations.​


· Respond within 2 hours to booking requests and prepare responses to RFPs.​


· In-house contact and after-sales customer contact. ​


· Manage an events schedule to maximise yield​


· Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach​


· Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs​


· Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds​


· Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events supporting the planning team​


· Participate in creating mailings, newsletters and Sales blitz. ​


· Participate in hotel promotional activities, Site inspections, client sales blitz and famtrips​



Responsible business​


• You are aware of the Fire Life Safety and Safety standards of your department and you know how to use these. ​


• You’ll work following the Green Engage Standards. ​



What we need from you


• Secondary Hotel School or Hotel management​


• Preferably experience at Reservations/ Sales and F&B ​


• Speaks and writes fluently in Dutch and English and preferably another foreign language​


• Numerical insight and analytical skills​


• Able to prioritize​


• Positive and can-do attitude​


• Good communicative skills and good telephone technique​


• Demonstrated previous experience working in the Conference and Events function​


• Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint and Opera is a plus ​


• Sales techniques ​


• Well-groomed appearance​

Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South is located in the bubbly Zuidas area, just a 5-minute walk from station Amsterdam Zuid which connects you to the city centre within 10 minutes.
