Our client is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, and innovative global breeding company active in both cut flower and bedding plants (annuals and perennials). They are looking for a Sales Manager, Europe to support their growth and expansion in the Benelux region.


The successful candidate will be responsible for sales and promotion of their products with major European Growers, young plant producers, and retailers while creating partnerships and networks to drive the demand.


Responsibilities are:


  • Mapping and connecting with growers, young plant producers, and retailers across your territory
  • Connecting with growers, young plant producers, and retailers in key markets
  • Connecting landscaping companies in the markets
  • Plan and set visit schedules with your customers, identify their needs and transform them into business opportunities.
  • Learn about our and competitors’ varieties in customers’ assortment, present our varieties and concepts, set trial programs and follow up, drive volumes and sales actions with customers, invite customers to our exhibitions, form partnerships
  • Open new markets and expand market share within our customers’ portfolio, create and update forecasts for customers, and create a sales and marketing growth plan for the customer


Skills:


  • MUST: Minimum 3 years of sales experience in ornamental horticulture (floriculture)
  • MUST: Fluent in Dutch and good English
  • MUST: Deep knowledge of the bedding plant (Annuals and Perennials) market in Europe (YPP, Growers, Wholesalers and Retailers)
  • MUST Willingness to travel
  • Customer and company expertise
  • Account management skills (analyzing sales data)
  • Highly communicative both verbally and written
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on, self-motivated, proactive
  • Provide excellent customer service to our customers
  • Treat everyone with respect and empathy, and have strong business ethics
